Important Update About Marmelão Experiences

To our friends, guests, and future visitors,

We would like to share an important update regarding the opening of Marmelão Experiences.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing delays from contractors involved in the final stages of the project, we are not yet able to confirm an opening date. While we had hoped to begin welcoming guests earlier, several essential works have taken longer than expected and remain incomplete.

At this moment, we still do not know when it will be possible to officially open Marmelão Experiences.

This situation has been deeply frustrating for our family, especially after the amount of time, energy, and care invested into creating a space that reflects the spirit of the Douro and our way of welcoming people. However, rather than opening before everything is properly finished, we believe it is important to wait until the project is fully ready and can offer the experience we envisioned from the beginning.

Marmelão has always been a very personal project — built slowly, with attention to detail, respect for the land, and a desire to create meaningful experiences around wine, food, and hospitality in Provesende, Douro Valley.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was hoping to visit us soon, and we are extremely grateful for the patience, understanding, and continued support we have received throughout this journey.

We will continue to share updates as soon as we have clearer information about the progress of the works and a possible opening timeline.
