Jorge Miguel Matias

I live and work in the Douro Valley, where I have built my life around food, wine, hospitality and the places that make this region unique.

I run Óporco, a small wine and tapas bar in Pinhão, and Douro E-Bikes, an independent way for visitors to explore the Douro at their own pace.

Marmelão, in Provesende, is now something more personal — a place for family, friends, wine, experiments and time.

This website is where I write about these projects, about Provesende and the Douro, and about the things I find interesting along the way.

No particular agenda. Just a personal view of the place I call home and the things I choose to build, maintain and enjoy.
